Block Paving Cleaning & Sealing

Block Paving Cleaning & Sealing

We offer a professional block paving cleaning and sealing service for homeowners and commercial customers throughout The Cotswolds. We pride ourselves on our high attention to detail which you will see throughout the works and at completion.

The process for cleaning and sealing block paving is best done in stages. Firstly, any oil stains can be pre-treated with oil remover and any moss growing on the blocks is treated with a potent bio degradable anti-fungicide. When the pre-treatments have taken effect the block paving is cleaned using a high powered, industrial surface cleaner.

The block paving is then left to dry for a few days to ensure the surface is completely free of moisture prior to re-sanding with kiln dried sand and if required or necessary, sealing with one or two coats of block paving sealer. Block paving sealers generally come in two forms; either solvent based acrylic or solvent free. After surveying your property, we will recommend the most appropriate solution for you.

Tarmac Driveway Cleaning and Restoration

Tarmac is a cost-effective surface to have however the resins do dry out over time from the action of weather such as UV light from sunlight, vehicle traffic and general ageing. It will usually have a light colour by this point and small stones might be breaking away from the surface. This is known as ‘fretting.’ When it starts to ‘fret, it is in effect crying out for attention. We recommend listening to it or you will lose it!

With the use of Tarmaseal™ or Resimac™ – both being high quality tarmac restorers, we can put back those lost resins, improving the appearance of your surface dramatically and extending its life by many years.

  I’d just like to say that I have been more than impressed with how George handled my enquiry from the outset and took the time to come out and look at my house. He was clear and as far as I’m concerned Joe and George over delivered on what was promised. I couldn’t believe amount of muck that came off my roof and how meticulous the guys were with ensuring that my house was spotless after the job finished.   Having never had a roof cleaned and little knowledge of price or options, I offered our job on a website that automatically contacted local businesses. In came all the phone calls and emails, and received a number of extortionate quotes and some describing very questionable cleaning methods that would make a health and safety manager have a heart attack, but thankfully, George at G.E.C. also got in touch. A pleasure to communicate with from the outset, fantastic knowledge and explanation of options for the cleaning of our roof, in a zero-pressure, relaxed and extremely polite manner. - All this coupled with a really competitive quote. The work that has been done is genuinely fantastic and the team that came round were as professional and friendly as George himself, explaining what they were going to do from the outset and cleaning up every inch of roof dirt that was left on the ground before departure, as well as cleaning the fascias and gutters. Neighbour was blown away by the difference it made, and following a discussion with him of my experience with G.E.C., he ending up booking them the week after!
