What is Softwashing?

Softwashing is a term that is thrown around the Cleaning industry a lot without any substance or explanation as to what it actually means. Softwashing is an alternative to using high pressured water and a way of cleaning the surface while being mindful that it is delicate.

The most common approach would be the use of chemicals and steam. Now, a lot of contractors are known for being sneaky and suggesting steam doesn’t contain water pressure, but it absolutely does! There is no way to just use steam to clean. Whether it is a DOFF system or a Mazzoni boiler, they all use pressurised water. But we can turn the pressure right down to the lowest setting so it is delicate enough for whichever surface.
